The ‘V’ Shaped Booty

Ladies, if this is you do not fret! We can round and plump your booty up! A V-shaped butt is full on top and wide on the sides but disappears lower down as the butt muscle comes in contact with the top of the thigh. In order to enhance the shape of your rear and add some more meat is to work all three muscles; minimus, medius, and maximus. 

What to do: My favorite exercise for rounding out a V is by doing step work. Try taking step classes, or do step ups at the gym or home. For step ups you can use a chair, ottoman, anything you find would work. If you are doing this at the gym they have step up stools you can use at different heights along with classes. Once you get the hang of some beginner step up routines, try taking it to the next level, speed it up, try some jump ups, step up and kick back. Also add into your cardio routine, the stair stepper! This will also definitely help round out your V-shaped booty if done regularly. 

In the photo above: Step up with both feet, leading with your right leg and and then leg down leading with your right leg. Repeat this move 15 times and then switch legs leading with your left leg. Do 3 sets of 15 on both legs.

  1. Awesome! I suffer from the v-shaped rear. I get it from my mama. I’m definitely going to try and do more steps. Another good exercise machine is the incline elliptical thing.My university has the Precor EFX576i and I love it because you can change the crossramp level to work different muscles on the bottom half, including the bum!
